Pine Lakes Rules & Regulations

In order to make your stay and the stay of others a pleasant experience, we ask that you observe the following good-neighbor practices:

Consideration

Please be considerate of others. Do not disturb their peace and quiet with bug zappers or by walking thru their site. Music need not be heard beyond your site. Do not destroy their view with clothes lines.
 

Sanitation

Please put trash in a plastic bag, tie securely and place in a dumpster. Please don't litter (cigarette butts are considered litter.) State law prohibits the dumping of gray water on the ground.
 

Children

Must be on their site during quiet hours unless accompanied by an adult.

Bikes

No bicycle riding after dark. Helmets are encouraged. 
 

Trees

Our trees and flowers are precious. Please be kind to them by not damaging them in any  way. Do not tie pets, clotheslines, chains or other items to the trees.
 

Grass

No patio rugs on the grass. Doormats limited in size to 2' x 3'.
 

Fires

Fires are permitted only in fire rings. Fire rings may not be moved. No unattended fires. Local laws prohibit burning garbage or trash of any kind.
 

Messages

Emergency messages will be delivered. All other messages will be posted on the bulletin board outside the office.
 

Registration

Everyone in the park must be registered at the office and each vehicle must exhibit a permit. 
 

Mopeds, mini-bikes, scooters, ATVs, etc.

Use of any unlicensed, motorized riding vehicle is prohibited in the park. 
 

Weapons/fireworks

No firearms, fireworks, slingshots, BB guns, bow and arrows, etc. are to be discharged in the park.
 

Excessive noise, foul language,
loud or obnoxious behavior

These are not permitted at any time. Anyone creating a disturbance will be asked to leave the park.
 

Beach

The beach is open from 10 a.m. - dusk. No lifeguards provided. Parents are responsible for supervising their children. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Swim within the roped off area. No diving. Never swim alone. Food and glass containers on grass area only. No pets, alcohol or fishing. All infants must wear tight fitting rubber pants.
 

Fishing

Limit 2 poles per person. No unattended poles. Limit 4 catfish and 4 bass per day. 14" minimum length on bass and catfish. Pole fishing only. Clean fish in fish cleaning building only. 
 

Boats

Sorry--due to the Zebra Mussel situation, we cannot allow private boats or motors on Pine Lake. Rent all boats at office. At least one person 16 years old on each boat. Each person must have a life vest. No boats on the water before dawn or after dark. No swimming or diving from boats. 
 

Pets

Pets are welcome when kept quiet and on a leash. Please do not leave pets unattended. Pets are not permitted in any building, on the beach area, playgrounds or in the lake. Pet owners are responsible for their pet's fallout. Place in a plastic bag, tie and put in a dumpster.

Golf carts

No private golf carts allowed. Rent carts at office. All drivers must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age. Daylight use only. Carts must obey all vehicle rules., i.e., drive only on roads and trails, obey all Illinois rules of the road and obey the posted park speed limit of 7-1/2 MPH. Obey cart manufacturer's rules as pertains to usage and passenger capacity.

*  Pine Lakes reserves the right to interpret all rules. 
*  Campers who are uncooperative or who violate park rules will be asked to leave with no refund. 
*  The park assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries or loss from any cause.
